The exemption deadline for Measure A for the 2026-2027 Tax Roll is June 30, 2026.
Exemption applications for the 2026-2027 tax roll are due to the district no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Current exemptions already in place for Measure A, DO NOT NEED TO BE RENEWED. (unless you move to another residence within the property tax area)

Please refer to your San Mateo County Secured Tax Bill. If you DO NOT SEE Millbrae ESD Measure N with a charge of $125, then you currently have an exemption in place and NO FURTHER ACTION is needed from you at this time.Can't locate your tax bill? - Please visit the San Mateo County Property Tax website here to obtain a copy of your bill.
To qualify for an exemption from the Measure A Parcel Tax during any tax year (July 1 - June 30):
- You MUST be the owner of the parcel and you must occupy the parcel as your principal residence.
In addition, you must qualify for one of the following three categories:
- You have attained age 65 prior to July 1 of the tax year (by June 30, 2026 for the 2026-2027 tax roll)
OR - You are receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for a disability, regardless of age
OR - You are receiving Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) benefits (regardless of age and your yearly income does not exceed 250% of the 2012 federal poverty guidelines issued by the United States Department of Health and Human Services).
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
1. Exemption Application
2. Valid ID for verification of age (Driver's License, ID, Birth Certificate, Passport, Medicare Card)
3. Proof of residence (copy of current utility bill - PG&E, Water, Cable Scavenger - name of the homeowner filing for the exemption must be named on the utility bill)
4. Proof of ownership (copy of current property tax bill or tax bill with homeowners exemption)
5. If receiving SSI or SSDI, please provide a copy of the Benefits Verification Letter issued by the Social Security Administration. This letter can be obtained online at https://www.ssa.gov/.Please follow the instructions/methods on the Exemption Application to submit your completed application.
