Mrs. Erin Zlatunich
Principal
Taylor Middle School
I am excited for the new administration team for the 2023-24 school year. I believe the foundation of our success falls with the relationships we build with students, staff, and families. I grew up in Millbrae and completed 8th grade at Taylor in 1995. I spent 16 years teaching in grades K-6. I stepped into administration as the Interim Principal at Meadows Elementary from December-June during COVID and have spent the last two years here, at Taylor Middle School as a Co-Principal.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I have boys ranging from 19 to 10 years old. I have an exciting year with a Senior in high school, promoting 5th & 8th grader. I also enjoy working out, hiking with my dogs, and reading.
I look forward to work alongside our new administrative team and with all of you this school year.
Mr. William Romer
Assistant Principal
Taylor Middle School
Bill Romer joins us from within. He completed his first year of teaching at Taylor last school year. Mr. Romer was our 8th grade Social Studies teacher and had an incredible year with our bright 8th graders.
He comes from a family of educators and was born and raised in Cincinnati where he was inspired by his mother who taught children with special needs. He attended college in New England, taught high school in New York City and then moved to San Francisco where he has lived for most of his adult life. In his early years, he managed a comedy club and worked in a TV newsroom before starting a career in educational technology where he produced software and learning toys for several Bay Area companies. He returned to the classroom in 2009 in San Francisco where he taught middle school Social Studies and English for the past twelve years. In 2017, Mr. Romer became nationally board certified. When he is not at Taylor, he lives with his wife, son and elderly dog in the fog.
Mr. Christopher Nichols
Assistant Principal
Taylor Middle School
Mr. Nichols grew up in San Mateo County and joins us from El Camino High School where he served as the Director of Activities. At El Camino he played a role in creating and fostering a positive and fun school environment for students and staff, and that is work he looks to continue here at Taylor Middle School. During his career in education he has worked with children of all ages, newborns to high school seniors, serving in a variety of roles. He has worked with students as a campus safety supervisor, a flag football and wrestling coach, a classroom teacher, a school director and a school administrator. During his time as a teacher he taught US history, economics and student leadership.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Mr. Nichols and his wife take in many dance recitals, baseball games, and drama performances that his children participate in. When he is not watching his children’s sporting events and performances, he enjoys Disney vacations, all Marvel movies and TV shows, and watching the 49ers win on Sundays during football season.
