Principal's Welcome Message

  • August 10, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians of Lomita Park School Students,

My name is Scott Carson and I am honored to be the principal at Lomita Park School. I have over 25 years of experience in education as a teacher and principal. Before I got into education, I worked as a sales rep for a computer subcontractor and as a contractor/real estate developer. My experience outside of education makes me aware of what employers are looking for in job applicants - problem solvers. I believe that starting in TK & kindergarten, we need to develop students’ ability to solve problems as they develop their skills in communication, mathematics, and science. Our three areas of focus during the first weeks of school will be on creating a safe classroom where all students feel welcomed, developing the routines and habits that lead to academic success, and developing goals with each of our students for them to reach their full potential. The staff and I look forward to working with you to create the optimum conditions for your child to learn and thrive while at Lomita Park School. I hope to meet you in the near future at one of our PTA Coffee Chats or at the front gate in the morning.

    Best regards,

    Scott Carson
