    Greetings Taylor families,

     

    We hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the lovely rainy day.Welcome back 8th grade students,parent chaperones, teachers, and Mr. Slauson from the Sojourn to the Past trip. This was nothing short of an incredible learning experience for everyone who attended. The students who stayed here with us got to experience a virtual Sojourn to the Past trip put together by Mrs. Richardson.

     

    San Mateo County STEM Fair Winners

    Two projects from Taylor won awards at the San Mateo County STEM Fair!  We would like to congratulate Aliya Fung and McKayla Ramos for earning First Place in the Biological Sciences Division with their project, "Dog Saliva vs. Bacteria".  

     

    Also, we would like to congratulate Samuel Hwang for earning Second Place in the Materials Sciences Division with his project, "Which Moisturizer Works Best to Keep Skin Moist?" 

     

    Spirit Week March 20-24

    Taylor Leadership is putting on spirit week next week, March 20-24.

    Monday, March 20- Sloth Day- wear pajamas

    Tuesday, March 21- Safari Safari Day- tourist day

    Wednesday, March 22- Greenout Day- (Advisory competition)

    Thursday, March 23- Hunter vs Prey- wear camo or animal print

    Friday, March 24- Lion King Day- dress up like a character from the movie

     

    Rising 6th Grade Family Info Night

    Spread the word, We will host a family information night for our rising 6th graders next Tuesday, March 21 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM in the Taylor Auditorium

     

    Music Performance

    Please join us Wednesday, March 22 for our second concert of the year. The concert will begin at 6:30 PM in the Shea Center.

     

    Spring Dance & Loss of Privilege List

    Our second dance of the school year is coming up next Thursday, March 23 from 5 PM - 7PM in the Taylor auditorium. The Loss of Privilege List will go out Monday afternoon. Unfortunately due to the power outage we have fallen behind. If your child has earned at least two D’s or one F, had behavior challenges such as bullying, defiance, vaping, suspensions, etc, or has had an attendance problem with excessive tardies or absences your child may be on the list and not allowed to attend the dance. Students may earn their way off the list through improved grades, behavior, and attendance.

     

    Lost & Found

    If your child is missing an item, please have your student check the Lost and Found in the Shea Center. All items will be donated to a local organization this Friday, March 24.

     

    CAASPP Testings Info

    We are approaching state testing. Please mark the weeks of April 24 - May 5 for ELA and Math. Make-up testing and 8th grade science will take place the week of May 8.
