The Thief

“Thief!” a civilian screamed as he
witnessed a criminal flee. The officers tried their best to keep up with the
thief, but the criminal was clearly faster, more agile, and athletic than any
officer in London, or maybe even all of Europe! The officers were both
exhausted and amazed of the way he climbed walls, and his ability to jump
across rooftops as if they were nothing.
Once he finally realized that there
was no one following him, the thief jumped down into a dark, isolated alleyway.
After a few moments, a completely different person, totally different from the
speedy, thieving criminal, came out of the alley way. Instead of black tights
and a tight black shirt with complicated tools of thieving attached to it on a
belt, he was wearing an elegant black suit, with a bright yellow tie, and
without his face mask, his slick-backed hair and his dark brown eyes were
revealed for everyone to see. His named was Rudd, but to most of Europe, he was
known as the Phantom Thief.
That night, Rudd, met with his
partner, agent, and best friend, Sonny, to discuss his next task.
“Do you remember your old friend,
Maryl?” Sonny said.
“Of course! I haven’t seen her since
forever! How’s she doing?” Rudd said, interested in the topic of the discussion.
“Well, it turns out her father is the
leading officer in the investigation to find you,” Sonny explained.
“Is that it?” Don’t worry a thing, no
one will ever stop me from doing what I do best.” Rudd replied proudly.
“That’s not all, Rudd. I found out
Maryl is very, very rich, and she purchased a very, very, valuable necklace. A
pure golden necklace with a diamond”
“You want me to steal from Maryl!?!”
Rudd interrupted.
“You said nothing would stop you,
Rudd. Don’t let her do it now,” Sonny said, urging him to accept the task. “She
won’t know it’s you anyways! And she probably won’t even remember you!”
“Fine, I’ll do it. And I bet you she
still does remember me. We were the best of friends back then.” Rudd said.
The following week, Rudd, otherwise
known as Phileas Thorn for now, attended Mr. Weasley’s ballroom dinner dance to
search for Maryl and her valuable necklace. He spotted Maryl wearing her
necklace, but he wasn’t looking at her necklace. He had just realized how much
he missed her, and he remembered all of the good times they both had. Rudd
followed her and saw her place the necklace in a glass box. He completed his
first task for now, finding out exactly where the item he was going to steal
is.
The day turned into night, and the Phantom
Thief emerged from the dark streets, into the rooftops lit my moonlight. He
approached Mr. Weasley’s house and entered the house unseen and unheard, using
one of his tools of thievery. He went to the exact location of the necklace and
cut open the glass box using another of his tools.
He grabbed the necklace and heard
footsteps coming closer, and then the footsteps suddenly stopped. He turned
around and saw Maryl. They both stared at each other in the eye, making
absolutely no movements. Rudd’s head suddenly stopped functioning, disabling
his common senses, causing him to grab Maryl swiftly, giving no chance for
Maryl to react of even scream.
