Alabama and Christmas

My name is
Veronica, I am 10 years old, and the time is 9:30 pm at night. Right now my
family and I are waiting for our flight to Atlanta, Georgia to see my aunt and
uncle for Christmas. I am writing on my new diary which my mother gave me from
the past two weeks; she got the diary form Hong Kong, which is my mother’s
favorite place in the world. Suddenly I heard that the plane had landed. We
grabbed our stiff and went to the counter right next to the doorway. The flight
attendant directed us to our seats; I sat in the window seat and waited for our
plane to fly. I looked outside the window and saw that we were finally moving.
I went to sleep and dreamed out floating on the clouds. I woke up and looked at
my watch; it was 2:00 in the morning. I couldn’t sleep because some of the
people were still awake, there was a movie screen above me, and worse was this
baby crying for his mother to change him. I went back to sleep and my sister
woke me up; she told me it was time to leave. “You are lying, I just went back
to sleep,” I told my sister. “This time it’s different, open the window,”
Jennifer replied. The sun just came up and I saw the white fluffy clouds. We
finally landed and went outside the plane. Then we got our luggage and ate our
breakfast. My aunt and uncle saw us and we went outside, put our luggage inside
the car and drove to Alabama.
Our
one-hour and a half dive, I went over, I went outside the car and saw my aunt
and uncle’s big huge dog named Bugsy. I gave the dog a big hug and went inside
the house. My aunt told us where our room was and I unpacked my clothes and
went to the living room. I saw the Christmas tree covered with ornaments,
presents under it and a star on top of the tree. At night we opened one gift
and told my aunt that she got a new iPod and I also told my uncle that he has a
new global positioning system for his car. And now I won’t forget this
wonderful Christmas.
