History

Taylor Middle School, built by the Work Progress Administration in 1939, is located in a city rich in history and resources. The only public middle school in the city of Millbrae, Taylor has educated thousands of students over the years. Our graduates include business and civic leaders in California, members of our current teaching staff, and many Parent Teacher Association members.  In 1986 and 1994, Taylor received the prestigious California Distinguished School Award and was awarded the National Blue Ribbon honor in 1996.  Our current enrollment, grades 6-8, is approximately 850 students.
