We cherish the diversity of our student population which is made up of children from many races. We have over twenty languages spoken at Spring Valley School.
I am extremely proud of our dedicated and talented staff. The twenty-one classroom teachers are supported by a full time Resource Specialist, and half time Reading Recovery Teacher. We also rely on the experience and talents of our classified support staff. Our fourth and fifth grade students have instrumental music and P.E. instruction two days a week. Grades 3, 4, & 5 receive choral instruction, and everyone participates in grade level chorus. All students in grades K-3 receive P.E. from their classroom teacher.
Our students have the opportunity of working in the school's computer lab.They also have an updated library to enjoy. Our students are involved in after school sports sponsored by the City of Millbrae's Recreation Department.
We at Spring Valley believe that it truly does "take a whole village to raise a child." We are a school that is dedicated to excellence for all students through the combined efforts of the remarkably talented staff, a supportive school district, the entire Millbrae community, and proud, involved parents. Test scores are consistently above district, county & state averages.
We are indebted to our community partners, the Rotary Club, the Lions Club, the city of Millbrae, and A.A.R.P. Their dedication and willingness to support education is truly commendable and appreciated at Spring Valley School.
