Welcome to Meadows School! We are delighted that you have taken a few minutes to learn about our school.

Meadows is located in Millbrae School District, in the city of Millbrae, California. We are located 15 miles south of San Francisco, on the Peninsula.

Meadows currently serves 380 students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Currently our class sizes are 20 students or less for grades K-3 and 28-30 students in grades 4 and 5.

Meadows School has a strong academic program with teachers working closely in grade level teams. Staff members continually upgrade their skills with workshops and classes, especially to support new curriculum adoptions.

Our school has a computer lab with equipment funded by our PTA. In addition, each classroom has computers available for staff and student use. The library has a computerized card catalog, and all students have regular access to the services. Students in grades 4 and 5 have PE taught by Rhythms and Moves and also have the opportunity to take instrumental music lessons with band and stringed instruments. All K-5 students participate in an art program, supported by both the district and PTA funds.

Meadows School is located in a very diverse community with at least 12 different languages spoken by our families. We pride ourselves on our diversity and consider diversity to be a strength at Meadows. We have an English Learners program with 153 students. An instructional assistant supports our beginning English learners and all of our teachers have additional certification for teaching English learners.

A special asset for our school is our very active and supportive community reflected by our PTA. A majority of our families are members of the PTA and the organization takes pride in their support of the school. In the past, they have funded our computer lab, supported field trips, funded special programs and assemblies and provided funds to support individual classrooms. In addition, we have many classroom volunteers that assist with the classrooms and support our teachers. It is with the support of our PTA and the volunteers from our community that we enjoy an enriched program at Meadows School.
