If we are Basic Aid, would we have this deficit?
A:
On January 8th, the Governor unveiled his 2010-11 State
Budget proposal that reflects California’s continuing struggle to deal
with a difficult economic situation. Although there is no mention of
Basic Aid districts specifically, there is an inherent assumption about
a “fair share” reduction. Details of what that will look like have not
been determined.
