Principal's Message

Dear Lomita Park Families,

WOW!  What a great first week of school!  I have been so impressed with all of the wonderful things happening around Lomita Park.  Classrooms are buzzing, students and teachers are building positive relationships, and there are happy faces all around.  What a special place!

Our first “Principal’s Coffee” is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, August 31 at 8:20am.  I hope to see many of you there.  The Principal’s Coffee is a great way for me to meet families and for all of you to get to know me and a little bit more about Lomita Park.  If you are not able to make it tomorrow, not to worry, there will be others throughout the year!  I look forward to getting to know you throughout the year.

Upcoming Events:

  • Back to School Night is scheduled on Wednesday, September 5 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.  This is a very important evening.  It is here that you will receive information on classroom procedures, curriculum, and all of the day-to-day business that is happening in your child’s classroom.  The evening will begin in the MUR at 6:00pm with a brief welcome, followed by presentations by teachers in their classrooms.  Please make every effort to attend, as this is a great opportunity to hear from your child’s teacher what will be happening throughout the year and to learn how you can support your child’s learning at home.
  • Friday, August 31 is an Early Dismissal Day.  All students, grades TK-5, will be dismissed at 12:15pm!
  • There is no school on Monday, September 3 in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.

Important Reminders:

The Millbrae School District has moved to collecting all student information on line through ParentVUE.  It is very important that you create an account and update all information for your child.  We will not be sending home paper emergency forms this year.  In order to have up-to-date contact and medical information in the case of an emergency, you must update it on line at ParentVUE

You should already have a ParentVUE account and log in information.  Please log in, check that all the information we have for your child is current, and make any necessary changes.  If there is ever any type of emergency at school and we need to reach you, this is our only source of contact information.

If you are not sure about your ParentVUE account and log in information, please contact the school office.

Here's to a FANTASTIC year!

Mrs. Spicker
